Goliath #1: The Opener
“LeGrandPoisson” won the Goliath #1: The Opener and turned their £55 into a cool £6,542. The champion came out on top of a 696-strong field who created a guarantee-busting £34,800 prize pool.
All but two of the eight players who reached the final table walked away with a four-figure prize. “NintenDope” and “C00kieMonster” were that brace of players. They won £522 and £783 respectively.
Sixth-place and £1,218 went to “drunkenmastr” before “nightmaresonstax” and “WinsFlipsForFun” ran out of steam and got their hands on £1,740 and £2,610.
LeGrandPoisson found themselves in the top three and guaranteed £3,514. This prize money increased when “stakermighty39” fell by the wayside to send the tournament heads-up. “bringbackpotch” busted in second-place after firing four bullets. The runner-up spot awarded £4,785, which left LeGrandPoisson to bank £6,542.

Goliath #2: PKO
The second event on the 15-strong schedule was the £30 buy-in PKO that saw 493 players enter.
Two of the players who reached the final table of the Goliath #1: Opener also reached the final table of this event. LeGrandPoisson, The Opener’s champion, fell in seventh-place and won £172 plus an additional £175 worth of bounty payments. “stakermighty39” finished third in The Opener and third again here, this second final table appearance yielding £690 plus £71 in bounties.
Their exit left “yingyang1991” and “Zebster1994” heads-up. Both collected £1,114 from the main prize pool but Zebster1994 won £1,090 worth of bounties after busting yingyang1991 who added £501 to his tally from the bounty prize pool.

Goliath #4: NLH
More four-figure prizes were dished out in the £30 buy-in Goliath #4: NLH, another four of them in fact. The 610 entrants ensured the £10,000 guarantee was blown out of the water by £7,080.
“BluffSqaaaaud” was the last player standing in this event and that resulted in £3,245 making its way to their Grosvenor Poker account. They claimed the lion’s share of the prize pool after sending “Sargon369” to the showers in second-place, which weighed in at £2,391.
“somersetlad” netted £1,281 for their fourth-place exit while “Snake292929” turned their third £30 bullet into £1,752 courtesy of a third-place finish.

Goliath #5: NLH only cost £5 the 564 entrants resulted in a £503 first-place prize. “whatacrapname” was the recipient of that prize, 100-times the tournament’s buy-in! The top five finishers all padded their bankrolls with prizes of at least £132.

Day 2 of the £225 buy-in 25/50 commences on August 3 while a £30 NLH 6-max event with £10,000 guaranteed kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
